Amankuta Mbieri Crys Out Of High Electricity Bill, Expresses Worry Over Five Months Blackout

The entire youths of Amankuta Mbieri in Mbaitoli LGA of Imo State, yesterday decided to take their desting in their hands, haven suffered so long without any hope in sight or a sighn of relief whatsoever.
In a communique signed by the entire youths of Amankuta Mbieri led by Hon. Chinagorom Azuoma, which was read shortly after a meeting held by the youths on Tuesday, 20th July 2021, at Amankuta Community Hall , the youths expressed worry over high electricity bill from EEDC monthly.
They cried out, for over 5 months total blackout in Amankuta Community, which they said was caused by, “unwarranted disconnection of the Community from the National grid by EEDC.”
According to the youth President – Hon Chinagorom Azuoma, the issue of high electricity Bill’s by EEDC has become a reoccurring decimal in the community.
While expressing dismay over constant power outage, even as EEDC keeps bringing outrageous Bill’s irrespective of their incessant disconnections, the youths described the situation of Amankuta electricity as very unfortunate, provoking, and disheartening.
The youths therefore resolved to take over issues of electricity in Amankuta while the president expressed optimism that with the recent take over of electricity by the youths , the incessant cases of disconnections by EEDC and its outrageous Bill’s will be a thing of the past.
In the cause of the meeting, two major committees were set up by the youths, they are: Committe for the organisation of Annual Amankuta youth football Competitions and the committee for the first ever Youth Day Ceremony in the community
According to the statement, “Undoubtedly, for the past twenty to twenty five years, there has not been anything like youth day ceremony in the community due to bickering and lack of unity among the youths but with the recent efforts made by the current leadership of the youths, love , peace and unity have once again been restored to the glory of God.”
Hon Chinagorom therefore use the opportunity to announce that the first ever youth day ceremony of Amankuta youths will take place this year on the 29th day of December 2021, at the Community field.
The youths equally announced that NO OTHER CEREMONY will take place in Amankuta on this date hence, the date is exclusively reserved for only Amankuta youths celebration.
The President however advised Amankuta sons and daughters especially those who may have one ceremony or the other to adhere strictly to the resolution of the youths as disobedient to this will NOT be tolerated no matter how highly placed.
On the deplorable condition of Amankuta road, the youths called on the state government and good spirited individuals to come to their rescue as according to them, life has become unbearable for the people of the area.
The president also disclosed that the association have concluded plans to honor their illustrious sons and daughters who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavours and have contributed immensely to youth empowerment and community development.
The president hinted that the event shall be an epoc making event in the community. He however called on their illustrious sons and daughters to continue to support Amankuta youths in their numerous programmes and activities.
He used the opportunity to thank Mr Nnamdi Nwachukwu (U.S / London based businessman), Mr Victor Obinma ( Lagos Based Business man, Mr Steve Agubosim( Lagos/ Abuja based business man), Mr Goddy Amah( Anambra and Enugu based businessman)HRH. Eze Bob Nwachi (River xState business man) Chief Armstrong Mbah( Youth Patron) and maby others, praying that God to blesses and reward them more abundantly amen.
